Has anybody actually gotten the 1200 baud RS232 to audio port hack working? I got the book and it's very confusing IMHO and I can't find anybody online who has actually done it and had it work.

We have a 1200 baud rs232 sensor that I would love to get working with an ipod touch or a iphone. Our current software is for microsoft mobile and we were running it on ipaq rx1955 pda's. However, it seems that nobody makes a windows mobile PDA with a serial port that will run at 1200 baud anymore. We'd like to be able to provide our sensor & some sort of smart phone or PDA without spending a fortune because it's a low volume product, and this looked like a good solution.

Bluetooth seems to be too not work for it due to port issues and draws too much power from the probe.

If anybody has any suggestions or a solution for me let me know at guyt...@yahoo.com

Our app is simple, it takes readings from the sensor and I'm sure could be re-written easily for apple.

So if anybody knows about this stuff...

    Thanks in advance
